Parking & traffic-regulatory sign
Reflective, MUTCD-pattern regulatory signs on rust-proof aluminum blanks: stop, handicap, no-parking, and speed signs for lots and private roads.
What it is
A compliance sign built to the federal MUTCD legend, color, and shape standards: a rust-proof aluminum blank faced with ASTM D4956 retroreflective sheeting that throws headlight glare back at a driver in the dark. The same product line covers the regulatory R-series you see on private property: STOP (R1-1), accessible/handicap parking (R7-8), no-parking (R7-1), and posted speed limits (R2-1).
Choose it when
You need a sign that actually functions as traffic control or supports parking enforcement, not just a metal sign that says "no parking." Choose this over a plain aluminum sheet sign when MUTCD compliance and night-time retroreflectivity matter; choose a plain aluminum or ACM sign when the message is informational or branded and no code applies.
Strengths
- Built to the MUTCD legend and color standard, so it reads as a real regulatory sign and supports enforcement
- Retroreflective sheeting stays legible at night under headlights without any power
- Rust-proof aluminum blank shrugs off weather for years outdoors
- Pre-drilled holes drop straight onto a U-channel or square post
Watch-outs
- – Sheeting grade drives both the price and the legal night-time visibility, so the cheap option can fall short of retroreflectivity minimums
- – Accessible-parking signs carry extra state-specific legend and penalty-amount rules that vary by jurisdiction
- – Enforceability on a private lot can require the sign to match the local code and, in some areas, a posted ordinance
Not the right call for: Decorative or branded property signage (use an aluminum or ACM sign instead) · Indoor directional or lobby wayfinding · Anything that needs a custom shape or color outside the regulatory standard
