Avery Dennison®'s MPI series is the network's go-to when the print partner's inventory and Pantone match favor Avery over 3M®. On a print run at scale, that's most of the time. MPI 1105 SuperCast is the premium cast wrap and architectural film. MPI 1405 is the PVC-free calendered film for flat fleet and signage faces, and it's the one we reach for when a brand mandates PVC-free materials.

MPI 1105 carries Avery’s Easy Apply RS adhesive, slightly more forgiving on first contact than IJ180Cv3’s Comply v3. In practice the spec call comes down to Pantone match and print-partner inventory more than that chemistry difference.

When to pick MPI 1105 vs MPI 1405

MPI 1105 for shape, PVC-free 1405 for flat.

MPI 1105 and IJ180Cv3 are direct competitors. Both are 2-mil cast premium films with air-egress adhesives, and both carry up-to-10-year warranties under their matched-component systems. Either one works for vehicle wraps, long-life window graphics, or architectural installs on textured walls. Pick by print partner inventory and Pantone match. The chemistry won't decide it for you.

MPI 1405 is calendered, not cast, and it's PVC-free. That's the reason to reach for it on a brand that mandates non-PVC materials. Use it for flat fleet panels, signage faces, and POP runs that don't need the conformability of the premium cast. Speccing MPI 1105 on a flat box truck is over-engineering the job. Stretching calendered 1405 over compound curves is the opposite mistake, and it lifts at the rivets and recesses within a season.

Specification notes

Removable wall graphics that come down clean.

MPI 2611 is the network's spec for interior wall and mural graphics that have to come off at the end of a season without residue or paint damage. Its StaFlat construction resists the edge curl that plagues calendered film on a wall, and the removable adhesive lifts clean from painted drywall. We call for it on seasonal retail refreshes, office environmental graphics, and event builds on smooth interior surfaces.

Brick, stucco, and cast-concrete murals are a different problem. They need a dedicated textured-surface film that heat-sets down into the grout lines instead of bridging them, and we spec that per job by wall condition. Standard film on textured masonry fails at the high points within a season, so the substrate survey settles it before a single roll gets ordered.
