Foam board
Lightweight, low-cost rigid board for indoor short-term signs and presentations.
“Cheap and indoor; treat it as disposable.”
Good to know
- It's disposable by design. Great for a presentation or a one-week sign, a waste for anything you'll keep or handle a lot.
- It dents and crushes with almost any handling. The lifespan assumes it sits still.
What it is
A rigid foam core (typically 3/16") sandwiched between two smooth paper faces. Cheap, light, and easy to cut. It's not waterproof, though, so keep it strictly indoors.
Choose it when
You need the cheapest possible rigid indoor sign for a presentation, event, or short campaign.

Questions people ask
Is foam board waterproof?
No. It's strictly indoor, and any moisture warps and delaminates it.
How long does it last?
It's a short-term board, ideal for a presentation or a one-to-few-week sign. It dents with handling, so it's not for anything you'll move around a lot.
