LED channel letters

Individually fabricated illuminated 3D letters. The classic glowing storefront and building sign.

A permanent investment. Most of the cost is permits and install.

Good to know

  • This is a capital investment, not a sign you 'try out.' Most of the cost and the timeline is permits, electrical, and install, not the letters themselves.

What it is

Custom-built dimensional letters with internal LEDs, mounted to a building face or a raceway. Front-lit letters glow through the face. Halo (reverse-lit) letters wash light onto the wall behind. Combo does both.

Choose it when

You want a permanent, illuminated exterior brand sign. Front-lit reads bold for retail, halo-lit gives a premium architectural glow.

Strengths

  • Reads day and night
  • Premium, permanent brand presence
  • Long-lived LED illumination

Watch-outs

  • Professional install with electrical work and permits
  • Higher cost and lead time
  • Not portable or DIY

Not the right call for: Temporary or budget signage · Interior-only quick displays

Questions people ask

Do I need a permit?

Almost always. Illuminated exterior signage involves electrical and zoning permits. That's part of why it's a professional, multi-week project.

Front-lit or halo-lit?

Front-lit glows through the face (bold, retail). Halo-lit washes light onto the wall behind (premium, architectural). Combo does both.

Can I install it myself?

No. It's professional electrical work, often at height, with inspections.
