Mesh banner
A perforated banner that lets wind pass through. The right call for fences, scaffolds, and exposed spans.
“If it's windy, go mesh.”
Good to know
- It exists to survive wind, not to look its sharpest. If the spot isn't windy and the banner isn't huge, a solid banner looks better.
What it is
A semi-transparent, perforated vinyl banner (~70% print / 30% open) that lets air through, so it doesn't tear or act like a sail in wind.
Choose it when
The banner will hang outdoors in wind (fence, scaffold, building). Choose mesh over solid vinyl so it survives the weather.
Strengths
- Wind passes through, so far less tear and sail risk
- Lighter than solid vinyl
- Good for very large outdoor spans
Watch-outs
- – Semi-transparent, so the image reads less solid
- – Not for backlit or indoor crisp graphics
Not the right call for: Indoor display where image solidity matters · Double-sided opaque jobs (use 18oz blockout)
